Exhaust air treatment for the chemical industry and refineries

The production and processing of chemical products, such as plastics, insulation materials for the construction industry, varnishes and paints, adhesives and many others, often involves the use and release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Similarly, the processing of crude oil and gas in refineries inevitably results in the generation of contaminated exhaust air.

This results in the emission of a wide variety of pollutants, such as aldehydes, ketones, alcohols, aromatics or halogenated compounds. In painting applications, too, solvents are released into the environment from point sources (paint booths) or through diffuse sources. Operators of such facilities are obliged to comply with legal requirements, such as the TA Luft. Depending on the concentration and type of pollutants, evoran Umwelttechnologie GmbH offers suitable processes for reducing VOCs or eliminating odours, ensuring that the specified limit values are met or exceeded.

For high air flow rates with low VOC content, we also offer a concentration process using adsorption wheels. This allows for the installation of significantly smaller systems that can be operated in autothermal mode, thereby reducing both capital and operating costs.
